Is the 8000 steps to be done throughout the day in just general movement or do you need to do a 8k step walk?

I’m really struggling with my weight. I’ve been on 1700 cals a day for 6 weeks now and I lost a few llbs initially then it’s just stayed in the same zone come or go about a couple of llbs. Only lost 1 inch. It’s like my body holds onto evything, I’m training regularly too and trying to walk as much as I can. Other than cut carbs and eat really clean ( o don’t really want to go to that level coz I know I hate it and will fail) what else can I do.. it’s round my middle area that is so bad

I’m doing the 12 week transformation and it’s the first time I’ve enjoyed working out. I usually hate cardio type circuits and give up due to this but this is fab and I enjoy the workouts and look forward to doing them, I get married in March and my wedding dress currently gives me back cleavage’s, I can already feel my muscles in my back engaging and I’m only week 2 👌👌

Natalie, can I do a spin class instead of the steps? I struggle on work days as I have kids so can’t do it before work but can jump on the spin bike
